The new Next Audio SP8 is an active high output, full range, 2-way point source system designed to deliver powerful acoustic performance, deep low frequency extension, and clear, accurate vocal reproduction for exceptional sound reinforcement across a wide range of applications. Low and mid frequencies are produced by two 8 inch long excursion neodymium transducers, band-pass loaded in a dipole configuration. Featuring quad voice coil technology, they deliver extended bass, very low even-order distortion, and superior thermal management, providing up to 20% more acoustic output at sustained high power. High frequencies are delivered by a 1.4 inch exit neodymium driver with a 3 inch voice coil, offering crisp detail and smooth HF extension. The same externally rotating waveguide as the SP12 ensures consistent dispersion, while the dipolar low-frequency section provides directional control down to 500 Hz for precise, articulate sound. A powerful 2-channel Class D amplifier delivers 3500 W peak power, with onboard 96 kHz DSP controlled via X-NET Software for precise tuning. The intuitive interface enables easy control and real-time monitoring of all networked loudspeakers, including automatic device mapping. X-NET allows individual EQ, level, phase, and delay adjustments, unlimited group creation, and automatic fallback between analogue and digital sources for enhanced reliability. Suitable for portable and permanent installations, the SP8 delivers outstanding performance in corporate events, sports arenas, theatres, concert halls, nightclubs, small festivals, live bands, mobile DJ setups, and side-fill applications.
